Default So, let's talk about injectors

I currently have RX7 550ccs.

I have just gotten an opportunity at an absolutely killer deal on RX8 440ccs (425ccs? 490ccs? I don't know, yellow rx8s).

From what I understand, they max out at ~230rwhp, which goes against the majority of my build (I am building everything except for turbo to 300rwhp, although my end result will end up being nowhere near that.)

But reading on several sites, 60psi fuel pressure puts them where I need them. Can I just throw on a fleaBay FPR and set it and forget it at 60PSI? I'd ------- love to replace the stock FPR, it's given me so much angst to date.

Considering I have a line on a full set of new rx8 injectors for under $100, and I can't even find comparable eBay EV14 injectors for under $300....:(

Gotta pay to play. I hate tuning cars that aren't on ID injectors.

ID specifically, or EV14 in general Sav?

This. I mean, it's not a rrfpr - what's so bad about a fpr replacing the stock one and running a higher psi on the fuel rails? ----, TSE sells replacement FPR's on their website even.

If I had a return style fuel system that's what I would do. I have heard the rx8 injectors have a better spray pattern than the older rx7 injectors. I meant a rising rate fpr, you would most likely run rich at idle with 60psi and 400cc+ injectors.

Bump the pressure, profit. I guess it all depends on what your goals are?

I have a return-style fuel system, and the stock FPR is the worst bitch ever. Half of this effort is because I want to replace it, since it makes dealing with anything on the intake manifold a nightmare quickly. "Oh, you want to put in new injectors? I'm NOT GONNA LET YOU DO THAT!" "Oh, you want to tweak something with the fuel lines? I'M NOT GONNA LET YOU DO THAT!", "Oh, you want to do X with (Y located in, on, or near the intake manifold)? I'M NOT GONNA LET YOU DO THAT!" Whoever designed the 94 FPR needs to get a swift kick in the *****.

As for my goals: 60psi with the RX8 injectors exceeds anything I'll ever get to with the Miata, so....

Blane how about you stick your dick in your ***?

Also, ebay regulator is big fail. They die. I would not put ebay anything near my fuel.

I like my little aeromitive that comes with the -6 fittings. Yay. .

Yeah, was looking at RX8 + aeromotive. Total cost would have been $150 or so for the setup at my cost.

But if Sav and Reverent say go EV14, I'm goin' EV14.
