Default Is there a remedy to bad synchros?

I just put in another tranny because I blew out 3rd in the old one. Come to find out that this new tranny has worn to hell synchros. Does running any type of gear oil help this at all?

Try GM's SynchroMesh. If that doesn't work, I'd say just buy another cheap tranny and cross your fingers.

I had a click/notchiness in third gear, not a full on grind. I tried mobil 1, redline, royal purple pen15, oem, and finally ended on ford motorcraft (part # XT-M5-QS). Immediately there was a difference but after 1k miles the click is completely gone.

I've never tried GM synchromesh but I'd give either the motorcraft or GM stuff a try and see if it fixes it.

I put the synchromesh in the tranny . It shifts a better . I was able to grab second at redline pretty quick without to much trouble. With the other tranny oil it would grind for a split second now it is on the verge of grinding. Oh well. I will just have to live with it until I blow out another tranny
