New Compressor Cable Doesn't Match
Hey guys, I have a 1990 Miata and the compressor was bad, so I bought a refurbished one off of ebay. The thing looked exactly the same and everything, and so I jacked the car up and went to work.
Stilly me though, I didn't check the connector on the compressor to see if it matched the stock harness so I put everything together and hooked the Blue wire from the connector to the compressor, and then realized that the white wire that feeds from the blue connector doesn't fit into the compressor...
here are som pictures of what I'm talking about:
I guess what I'm wondering is if I cut the ends off of both and solder them together, will it work as if I have them connected? As it is now, I charged the system to see if the comprssor would kjick on, but its a no go. I also tried to jump the connectors together with wire, but it was in such a hard place I doubt I had a good jump.
I have gotten the r134 conversion from a shop, but they didn't replace the drier... so I'm not sure if they did everything needed or not. But any help would be appreciated!
