So it is looking like the Vette is going to be a later down the road thing. Hopefully not too much closer to midlife crisis later, but later.

I still have the vvt motor sitting in my garage. If you want to drive a fast miata, my uncle's (hhammerly here) just put down 340hp on fathouse's dyno last Wednesday..he would probably let you drive it at an autocross to see if that's the way you want to go.

if you beat on the corvette the same way you beat on a miata, johnny law won't be very happy. i miss my 1.6 sometimes. i would rag the snot out of it, pass a cop, and not lift. sometimes it would break the speed limit, but most of the time it didn't. my c6 get's past 100mph so fast i can't have much fun.
Maybe I laughed too hard at this... so relatable I guess... and I know I know, digging up an OOOOLD THREAD!
have merged on the highway before at wot in my muffler deleted, otherwise stock paper air filter 6 speed nb miata and never lifted, barely passed a mom in her van as I banged into 3rd gear and screamed towards redline oncemore... after power shifting into 4th, i then i noticed a cop right ******* there next to the van! I could feel the cop looking at me funny... And then nothing happened... I was just going 10 over and the cop just sort of watched me for a while until I exited.

I dont own one personally but know two guys locally who do. I just feel like the miata is more satisfying being so extremely lightweight and agile.
The C5Z's are definitely very capable cars though, dont get me wrong.

Absolutely. Best part of the Miata is that fact that you can buy wheels and tires for less than tires for the Vette 🤣🤣🤣🤣
