Thank you so very much. I finally got this vvt monkey off my back. Now I can do a little auto tuning. If I can get it running well enough, I won't even have it tuned. I've been driving it on auto tune for 7 years now.

So you were able to pulse the VVT solenoid with the test mode?

Then you went and followed the rest of the steps to find min/max angle and min/max duty cycle?

It was the high current 1 output. I lowered the hrz to the second slowest setting. I put my ear right on the solenoid, I didn't know how loud it was going to be. When I pulsed it I spooked myself and whacked my head on the hood. I used the instructions from the link you provided to get my values. I had a friend set up my first ms3, back in 2017. I'm sure he didn't do any of this. I wonder if the mslabs base tune was close enough that I never got a vvt error message.
