Lol it's all good, I'll try popping it out tomorrow. I figure if it's too janky looking I can just get a "new" fender but I'll report back.

Reasonably cheap hardtop locally: https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/p...658142268.html

About the same condition I got mine in, would be pretty easy to fix up. If I had the cash I'd buy it and flip it.

Scaxx 08-02-2018 01:30 AM

700 for a hardtop with no glass and a giant crack? No thanks lol

What did you end up doing? Are you apart of the pnw Miata fb groups? There's a guy Alex on there that has a ton of parts. That's all he does is part our miatas. Last time I was up there he had a pair or red fenders. IDK if he still has them.

It's been a while since I've been on the forum so I missed your post but I haven't found a replacement yet. I've been poring over Craigslist and wasn't aware of the Facebook Miata group (derp). I'll try my luck there, any page in particular?

Anybody have some old intercooler piping for an intake that they don't need anymore? Trying to get my MS back up and running

Pineapple Daddy 08-16-2018 06:55 PM

If you're willing to trek or have him ship there's a guy in Oregon selling a full intercooler kit

jpnMiata 08-16-2018 07:07 PM

I pretty much only need a 90 deg bend, a pipe and a filter, I have most of my intercooler stuff from my Kraken kit. I'll probably just order some stuff from silicon intakes or just bootleg something together, I mean it is going to be temporary until a 1.8 swap :dunno:

Pineapple Daddy 08-16-2018 07:15 PM

I may know someone with some spare intercooler piping give me a sec

wackbards 08-16-2018 09:40 PM

I got a box full of 2.5" stuff including couplers and clamps. I can take a look if you give me specifics. Gotta come out to Snohomish for it tho.

jpnMiata 08-16-2018 10:16 PM

From eyeballing it I'd say I'd need another 90 plus a straight tube and a 45? The car is a 1.6 so I'm thinking of routing it under the waterneck and having the filter almost behind the radiator fan. (Sorry if the pictures are too big, how can I make them smaller?)https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...3dde386359.jpg

Still a noob but is it a bad location because of exposure to heat? Would somewhere further down be a better location?

wackbards 08-17-2018 01:53 PM

Preferred location is cold side collector facing forward in a fmic. Are you still NA? Put it somewhere far from heat I guess.

sixshooter 08-17-2018 01:56 PM

You need to read a lot. Behind the radiator is a really shitty place to put it.

jpnMiata 08-17-2018 02:06 PM

Good to know, looks like I have some homework to do lol.

wackbards 08-30-2018 03:38 PM

What winter tires do you guys run? I have a set of Nitto all seasons on 15x7 for my winter tires, and I despise them. I want max grip in cold & damp, and I don't want to wait an hour for the tires to start gripping. Think borderline black ice conditions. Not really ever planning on driving in the snow, or even driving rain, so it's more of a strictly cold & damp grip considerations.

matrussell122 08-30-2018 03:43 PM

Toyo mt but will be switching to toyo rt when these wear out. But that probably doesnt help much. The toyo R1R and RA1 are supposed to be good in the rain.

Edit: I have the RS4's and they are great dry tire but miserable in the rain here. Every time it came into boost i would break loose. They are 245s on a 15x9

jpnMiata 08-30-2018 03:44 PM

I've been pretty happy with my Nitto Neogens, unless those are the Nittos you're referring to
