Hey Braineack, did you telfon tape all the fittings going into the turbo? I see some white in all the fittings in the DIY Faq.

Any issues? I found some compression fittings that will screw into the turbo, but it's not a tight fit. Slight play in the fitting. Some heavy duty teflon tape will seal it, but I'm not sure if Teflon can handle the heat.

Pic is not my turbo. I personally wouldn't use it, as the oil break it down. I believe there is a special tape that is oil resilient.

If you get the correct fittings you dont need it, what turbo do you have and we can tell you what to buy.

If you're still dying to know:

2 is the inlet to the water pump. It is therefore the lowest pressure point, and coolant flows into it.

1 is roughly at the outlet of the pump. It is thus a high pressure area, and coolant flows from it.

I used liquid teflon, seals better than the tape and doesn't break down. They make a badass marine sealant but I can't recall the name of it...I'm sure if you asked at a marina parts store or something they'd have it. I just bought some stuff from Ace.

Ha!

I think I've done enough video production to last a while. Or maybe I just can't think of an ironic and visually amusing way to demonstrate this particular fact..
