I'm around 1 mile from home and seeing as my tools have all been stolen I figure I'll make it home then tow it to a shop in the morning. It seems I was mistaken. A few moments later there was a "pop" sound and the altenator light came on. I thought the recently replaced altenator had messed up again and was overcharging the recently replaced battery. A few seconds later there was another "pop", this time steam poored out of the hood. S#$t. Two seconds later the temp gauge flies past H. F'it, I'm getting home. The lights started to dimm but the car continued to run. I limped the remaining mile home (with the engine off as much as possible) and stopped her in the garage.
