What's the maximum current draw on OEM fan circuits?

I'm not enough of an expert to just step up and say he's wrong, but if the fans are kicking on at speeds above 20 mph, then I think there are cooling issues beyond just fans. The fans are supposed to be for stop and go street driving. Perhaps a use if you're racing and in a draft behind another car, so you need a fan to draw air since there isn't positive pressure at the mouth.

My wife's stock 2000 once overheated in 55 mph traffic w ac on because one fan's relay failed. So fans do help at speed.

Fans turned on at speed mainly reduce the resistance to airflow that they would produce when not powered.
