Another Garrett GT2871 here with a BEGI S4 tubular manifold, SGDP, and a 3" Enthuza exhaust. Full boost (18 psi) by 3500-3800 IIRC. Transient response is good above 4000. Below 4000 there is some transient lag compared to a 2560 but not a big deal. Still a broad enough, totally streetable powerband IMO.

I am about to install large injectors (1100cc) and will be making a trip to the dyno soon, mostly for spark map tuning. Though I could push it to 400+ RWHP I am going to keep it in the 300-350 RWHP range since it is a DD and I am growing weary of blowing stuff up. The motor could take 400+ but I am not so sure about the drivetrain.

Shouldn't that be Dear Deerhunter?

For anyone interested, here is an Excel chart showing my boost response in 5th gear. Not bad for a big turbo...

wow so you hit full boost by a little over 3600? That is very nice, and gives me hope that mine won't be lagging til redline (even though you have a full .2L more)

i'm salivating. this is making me feel very good about spending the extra money i'll be spending to ditch my 1.6 for a slightly larger base for my built lower end.

What is your EMS DeerHunter? I'm curious how Jeremy set up your timing map.

I'm using a Hydra 2.6. Keep in mind that I'm running water injection, so my base timing is more aggressive, which probably helps spool somewhat. Boost control is with a Hallman Pro RX MBC.

PM me with your e-mail address and I'll send you my current map.

This is a garrett A/r .70 w/ a tial wastegate and i cant figure out what kind of header. I dont know the trim levels etc. All i know is that this thing is way too big and does not spool and pull till bout 4000 rpm then its like a supra effect.

I dont like it at all. So could someone please tell me what kind of header this is? And BTW its being controlled by the ancient HKS VPC!

It works good, i know that i need to update so gimme a break.

Video taken at our first autocross of the season. We run at a decommissioned air base, so it's pretty wide open.
