Would Anyone give it a shot at this? Please...
HI Everyone, your advice is greatly appreicated.
My car has been acting very strange for the past month, after numorous time trying to understand what is happening I have yet found the cause.
Symptoms:
- suddenly lost of power (50%) On and Off.
- Boost gauge show normal sign when I press on the gas.. just no power.
- Idles perfect
- You can never predict when it happens... you can shut the car down, and it might be back to normal.. or the same thing occurs.
For the love of CARS, please help!!

When you step on the gas, you say you are getting good boost.... but what about the RPM's... are they being normal as well?
Confirm for us that you know exactly what a slipping clutch feels like? Have you ever felt a slipping clutch?
You need to check your timing. What is it set to?
How old is your fuel filter?
Check all of your charge pipes... perhaps intermittent leak?

Samnavy,
I wasn't able to get much boost, since there was no power to spool the turbo. may be I was getting 3psi most. RPM didn't go up either, since I changed my clutch 1 month ago.
I will also try to pull out the EMB... check the timming of the car and let it run stock for a while. See if the problem comes back again.
Thanks,

Try this. Next time it goes to running on 2 cylinders, stop and get out of the car leaving it running. Pop the hood and put a timming light on it and check to see if al 4 cylinders are gettin a spark consistantly. My guess is you loosing one bank, either 1&4 or 2&3. This would tell you if the problem is ignition related or not. From here, we could try to help you more. I doubt a fuel filter problem would only effect 2 cylinders. I somehow doubt it's the injectors.
After you do the above test while it's running on 2 cylinders, shut the car off and pull the sparkplugs. If your loosing spark, those cylinders sparkplugs will be wet with fuel. If there sparking, they won't. This would also help isolate the problem.
We really need more information and need to know if you tried all of the advice that's already been offered before we continue to 'guess' what the problem is. Have you run a compression test, a leakdown test, checked fuel pressure, or replaced the plugs? Was the coil and wires you swapped a known to be good?
(I'm the one on M.net who suggested the coil is the problem)

+1 check timing with light - also check out your manifold right after running under boost when the problem occurs (bright glowing = bad and probably timing is fubar, general red color = ok. I cooked a turbo when my timing slipped... similar conditions and yes a massive wild goose chase). FYI: I also once had bogging power condition when the plug wires were bad..
