In for a 2004 MSM as well.

Thanks for the update. It's interesting how this brakes down:
99/00------12 04----------6 93----------2 03----------1 96----------1 95----------1 94----------1 92----------1 91----------1 90----------1 (I counted Flyin96M in the 12 since he has a 99 head) So, does this mean the 99-00 people are more dissatisfied than most?:vash: |
I can't wait!

Are you waiting for the first ten to pay before building them or have you started?
|
I have already started, the first four ECUs are ready, I'm waiting for the expansion boards to be delivered before final assembly.

Thanks for the update.

Send me a few dolmas.

bigx5murf, your wish is granted, you have been moved to position #10 (slopokes123 has been moved to the bottom of the list). I'm sending you payment details, check your PMs in a few minutes.

That thread is insidious! I love it.
|
Lol, I love this forum.
First 5 units are built. I'm waiting for several components to arrive tomorrow, and the new expansion board are supposed to be delivered on Thursday. So if everything goes well, the first batch should ship on Monday. |

Can you send me a tracking#when shipped.
|
Just the first 5. The 2nd batch of 5 will ship sooner than the first 5 did.
ECUs will be sent in batches of 5 to CA to save on shipping, then each ECU will be mailed using USPS (hence the ridiculous shipping price of $35 from Greece). |

Behind the scenes. This pretty (and somewhat complex) board will be inside every MS that I'm going to build for this group buy. |

train derailment, lol.
|
Wow, I've had a lot of things happen to shipments...but never a train derailment (well, not that I'm aware of anyway).
No huge hurry here...my car is on jackstands. It spends way too much time there lately...damn I hate working for a living. Money and no time, no money and plenty of time...can't have both! |
dammit. The two weeks I dont check this site this GB goes on :(

Tomorrow is tomorrow.
 Having said that, I have received quite a big box full of resistors, capacitors, transistors...the works. About $1400 in value, so lots of them. 12 pounds to be exact. :giggle: |

Change of plans. I decided to run away to some exotic place with the GB money. :giggle:
Not. Instead I give you guys even more than I had hoped for: https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...1&d=1318266518 No, it is not an MS3. But it is an MS3 case, meaning less cost for you guys to upgrade to an MS3 later on. Interesting contents are interesting: https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...1&d=1318266518 I just finished porting the code from my old expansion board to this new one, adding the multiplex feature to the MS2 code as well as the basic support for two switchable boost tables (yes, switchable boost tables). I'm still struggling to get the knock control code inside the MS2. It is going to be very tight, the room available is literally measured in bytes. I have all the components in hand right now (received 25 MS3 cases today and 20 MS2 boards and CPUs). I have 13 MS2 boards assembled (I assembled them in the dead time while waiting for the expansion boards to arrive). I will give it a couple of days and see if I can make the knock control code in the MS2 in time. If not, I will assemble the units and ship them with knock control off, then when the code is ready you will be able to upgrade with a new firmware. That is all. |
Holy shit that is awesome work!
|
Wow.. fast work there mate. :yippee: Do these come with USB connectors?
|
This is so nice. Can hardly wait to get this put in.
|
Very awesome, I can't wait.
|
i wish you were my dad
|
Can some one still get in on this?

Whoa there. You have a supercharger, you have no right in asking questions in this forum. :giggle:
First five ECUs are built. The first adapter harness is also built, I need to built the rest four, test and ship. |

Take your time. I have one car that won't pass inspection, one car with a bad head, I need two street tires for the track car, two tires for the daily, 4 r-comps, a $200 speeding ticket, and I just bought $350 worth of little shit for the green car. This is a ridiculously expensive month that won't end.
BTW, we've all been in your position and can empathize with your travails. |

If it's that tight on code room why wouldn't you want to go to one boost table and then you would have more space for the more important knock control code? |
Can anyone else join?

Are you getting close to shipping out the first 5.
|
Yes. The first 5 ECUs are fully assembled. I'm trying to find and solve a problem that doesn't happen with the ECU on the bench, only in the car (the expansion board goes crazy).
I'll post updates as I'm tracking the problem. |
|
You are not helping.
