Just to clarify - how much would 8.6:1 or 9:1, 83.5 or 84.0 mm Supertech pistons for the 99+ cost?

In that case, I'm in for the 84mm 8:6:1 P4-MA84-N4 Supertech's.

Is there any information regarding the expansion rate of both pistons? Also looking for what sort of tolerances they use for pistons (in terms of weight and size). I couldn't find any info on the manufacturer websites.

Pistons are $365 shipped, not $355. I know it's not a big deal, but it will save Adam from having everyone say that they were listed as 355 on the forum.

For those of you mourning the loss of the 8.6:1 piston, I just got off the phone with Supertech. Martin told me that I was the third person who had called about them recently, and that they're going to have a meeting about putting them back into production. Lead time, if they decide to go ahead, will be appx 6 weeks, and the vendor price will be unchanged.

The question, of course, is what effect this will have on the GB. I gave Martin my phone number and asked him to let me know what they decide one way or the other, so hopefully we'll have something to go on before too long.

Tyson, what are the odds that we can get NoLimit to extend the GB for those of us who want to wait for the lower CR piston? If we get a commitment from SuperTech, perhaps we could do a pre-order and have them delivered when available?

I would, except I don't have the engine I'm going to use in-hand yet. My fear is buying them and then finding that the cylinders are too far gone to take a 83.5mm set/

Somone convince me what ones to buy. I have 2 1.6L motors both in cars that i can build. Or i can grab a 99 motor with an unknown problem for like 300. Or i can get a 2001 motor for 650. What one should i build?

I got M-Tuned rods so now i need to find what motor i want to build and i have to get in on this GB.

Plans are for a fast track/street car. Goal of 300 WHP

My first & second choice of pistons have both not worked out, I'm debating what I want to do now. Maybe a group buy on thicker then OEM head gaskets for those of us that wanted 8.6:1 CR? lol.

I just ordered the P4-MA84-CR9 from Adam.

Just to let you guys know, he said these pistons are on back order and should ship directly from Supertech in 2 weeks or so.
