So I'm most likely going to pick these brackets up within the next few weeks.
After reading the thread, there are a few options for balancing the whole system out. What, in your guys opinion is the easiest/bolt on way to balance everything out? 1.8L rears + proportion valve? MSM rear? What has been the easiest set up to make work without fiddling and making a million adjustments? And just to clarify again, the calipers we need are the .81 thickness? 120-6806? |

I used the Wilwood valve due to ease of install, I've never played with the Tilton valve so I wouldn't have any setup advice for you. I thought it might be nice for playing with the bias on-track, but for me the Wilwood valve seems to be a lot more set-and-forget than I expected it to be.

That's what I figured. Looking at pictures of both, the Wilwood seems simpler and easier to use.

The main advantage is that bias will be closer to correct at a single setting of the adj prop valve, over different surfaces. The use of the 94~97 1.8 rear rotors with the larger-pistoned 01+ "factory big brakes" rear calipers is a damn near perfect match to an 11" front kit with 2 x 1.38" pistons. They are $80+ per side at Rockauto. Cheaper and lighter than going to a Goodwin rear BBK or the factory rear big brake rotors + adapters. |

Are they a bolt on affair without adapters and match the 94-97 rotor? Who knew you could get a full on big brake kit for so little! I'm starting to like this more and more. |

125 each, but that is chump change in the world of real brakes Are they a bolt on affair without adapters and match the 94-97 rotor? I assume your talking about the rear brakes? For the rear, M-tuned offers a bracket that allows 94+ non sport owners a way to run larger sport rotors. Who knew you could get a full on big brake kit for so little! I'm starting to like this more and more. That is why I went down this road, and I'm sure many more will also :) Answers within |
2003 (big pistons) rear calipers would bolt onto a 94~00 car using the 94~00 pads and rotors.

this just in...it looks like either my spacers collapsed or my spindle bent, not the brake kit. Yeah!!!!!!!for trackspeed.

I just installed these....... WOW, never going back to a traditional caliper. After figuring out how easy it is to install pads, I now know why everyone does street pads and track pads with these calipers.
