still:
And I have laid out far-reaching plans that I intend to sign into law as President to bring transparency to government, and to end the revolving door between industries and the federal agencies that oversee them.
National security requires a delicate balance. One the one hand, our democracy depends on transparency. On the other hand, some information must be protected from public disclosure for the sake of our security -- for instance, the movement of our troops, our intelligence-gathering, or the information we have about a terrorist organization and its affiliates. In these and other cases, lives are at stake.
I ran for President promising transparency, and I meant what I said. And that's why, whenever possible, my administration will make all information available to the American people so that they can make informed judgments and hold us accountable. But I have never argued -- and I never will -- that our most sensitive national security matters should simply be an open book.

And before you post a graph of how much surplus Clinton was able to bring in, also remember who was in control of Congress during his last two years when things were going good, he was signing all the policies that the Gingrich house was passing and it worked out well.
I blame it all on Goldwater.
Exactly, it took him 4+ years to get that low, your president did it in less than 1 year. He has plenty of time though, so we'll see...

Well, since we're taking sides here...its nice to see that health-care resistance is renewed by the pro-life authoritarian religious fundamentalist enslavement party. You know, the one that wants to skull-**** Jesus (more like the "tithe") into your children at school, rather than teach them about Ardi. Why not make it about Jesus against that "dirty brown" the bourgeois voted for?

Bush's problem is that he went to war without simply destroying the enemy and getting the **** out. It does nothing for moral or even an end. Obama seems to be following suit and I have a feeling his numbers will drop further as we dick around in hell holes.
I really don't care about approval ratings, I'd personally go out and nuke half the world, sure my ratings would be bad for a few weeks, maybe months, but they'd get over it.

I like this. Bring all troops home, drop one bomb. War over..

Those Abu Dhabi camel jockeys won't quit fighting till they're dead. Exactly the reason behind the nuke strategy
(Modern nukes have a instant kill radius of around 5 miles, one on each major city should do the trick. Plus the high heat might even refine the underground oil into gasoline and store it in a nice glass tank for us to collect in 10000 years when the ground is no longer radioactive

Ah, the low-hanging branch for democrats: Playing the Christian card.
I don't even give a **** anymore with this kind of stuff. It's obvious that the people in power are going to do what they want to do, nothing anyone says is going to change their minds. I'm just chilling until 2012 and watching **** fall apart.
Tort reform solves healthcare costs.
On to the next problem, radioactive oil still burns just fine.
And letting weak companies and banks fail allows those with better business models to take the lead.
Anything else?

Then you have radioactive emissions going into the air you breathe, won't be too fun when you start getting lung cancer in a couple weeks time.

Here today to save the mothafuckin day yeah!
I still believe the problem is education. I wholeheartedly believe the theory behind Idiocracy. I forget who told me to watch it, but thanks for that.
Here's my plan - once someone has a baby, make a licensed person go and make sure those parents can handle it. If they can't, tubes tied and possibly baby up for adoption.
Or we could be like other countries and have limits on the number of children we're allowed to have until we can figure out how to not be stupid.
Second, we need to pay teachers a salary they can actually live on and get enough of them for a proper education. I don't care how they get the money (maybe by not paying for all these government programs that fail miserably like the one I'm a part of?).
Third, we need to take education farther and employ more programs that help people learn to be useful in society. Until parents learn to teach their kids how to live, this is something that needs to be done.
This all goes by the whole "teach a man to fish" thing. The government is trying to catch us fish instead of teaching us how to fish. That's what laws and government programs are supposed to do. They're guidance.

I'm my county, teachers are required to have Masters before employment, I believe if they are working on it they can as well.
I'm still sending my kids to private school.
