But on a cereal note, that they are combined into one cable makes sense. Unfortunately I still will need to dick around with a tone generator to see what range goes to each component so I can best set up an LC7i unless anyone can recommend a better DAC solution for less.

I don't mean to be snarky, I mean that like everything else, I assume them to place form over function, putting the phone itself right at the top of the stack so that the experience of opening the box for the first time is maximally awesome.

* = note to Braniac: I walked right past a large group of them, easily within tazing / clubbing range, and none of them assaulted me or attempted to deprive me of my civil liberties in any way. I even had a pocketknife on my person at the time, although I did not wield it at them or threaten them with it.

You lie. It is impossible to photograph a duck. All allegedly extant photographs of ducks are, in fact, extremely elaborate oil paintings.

We finally disposed of an old camera robot today. It was one of three installed in 1995, and had been partially nonfunctional for quite some time. Parts are impossible to come by, and we installed a completely new set of robots earlier in the year, so I finally got tired of this old one taking up space in the basement and arranged for its disposal today.
One of my engineers, who I put in charge of this task, sent the following company-wide email after the deed was done:

A good laugh has been had by all.
