Was just on the roof of the TV station clearing snow out of the satellite dishes with one of my co-workers. There's been some accumulation.

I changed the rear brake pads on the Miata in the driveway and it was cool and breezy. Your picture is much more fun.

I've also worked under the dash of my car like this. It's even more fun with door bars.

It's slowed down a bit, supposed to cease entirely later tonight / early am. Judging by the plow cuts, I'd say maybe 16-20", which is hardly record-breaking, even for a 12-hour accumulation..

edit: Correction, news says 25" at present, which is actually close to record-breaking.

I left the station around 5, as everything seemed to be under control and I had a full staff assembled by that point. Getting home wasn't bad, the subway is still operating normally within Manhattan and the inner sections of Queens / Bronx / Brooklyn- they simply stopped service and reversed the trains on each line at whatever the last station was before it went aboveground in the outer boroughs.

I'm missing Phoenix right now. Spent a couple of months there in the dead of summer building the Clear Channel studios (KFYI, etc) a few years ago. Hated it at the time...

As soon as he headed into that turn, the whole trailer frame broke away from the axle subframe assembly in the rear. Watch right at about -0:12, the load is going over, but the wheels are still squarely on the ground. I wonder if he even would have gone over if the frame attachment hadn't broken.
