I keep a leather glove in the car because my shift **** approaches 5000K around mid day. Its like a deer skin winter glove though, so I dont look like a total ****. Just a crazy person.

 

I wear driving gloves in the Miata all the time. Helps to grip the wheel, and protects my delicate hands from the blazing hot steel shift ****. Mine were a gift from my aunt when I bought my Corvette 30+ years ago.

 

Yes but those are classy, old-school driving gloves. Not nomex racing gloves.
