A friend of mine just bought one. That thing MOVES, but he's not right in the head and has already bought an ECU, pistons, rods and other goodies.

At least I get his stock intercooler, if my suspicions are correct (varying info online) the inlet/outlet is spaced perfectly to go around the radiator+supports. If that's true then we could be looking at a decent source of cheap/good intercoolers. I'll know more next week when I get my hands on it.

a friend of mine has one, and it's already tuned and he's trying a bunch of prototype parts for different companies on it. with just a catback, tune, upgraded wg actuator and bpv, it's making 330/400. essentially "stage1" .

their intercoolers suck past stock power levels. that's the next thing on his upgrade list. AIT's skyrocket past 5k at 18ish psi

Ah damn, I just figured it would've been sufficient for a miata. On the other hand temp here rarely even touches 74°F

it's probably ok to about 250whp so you might still be in luck.
what I've noticed about a lot of OEM intercoolers, is that they're really designed for a very specific flow/output.
up til the "limit" they're excellent. as soon as you touch the limit, they just give up

Glad to see you back, Commie!

Poor-quality pic, but I actually watched the left front wheel fall off of this lady's Chevy in real time. Lucky for her, it happened while she was pulling into a gas station somewhere in Ohio or Indiana. (Can't remember which.) Made a hell of a noise.

It's hard to tell from the potatophone image (I was quite some distance away), but the lug nuts are still in place, and the wheel is still attached to the hub. It's just that the hub is no longer attached to the chassis in any meaningful way.

Also, all of this stuff actually fits into an NB:

It was a bit of a squeeze, but I easily had room left over for one more water bottle, maybe even a pack of gum.

The guys at Vorshlag savaged the RS and said it is a total turd on the track. Apparently, the rear axle stuff overheats and shuts down after a few laps, which makes the car just a fatter and more powerful ST.

We just converted tractor foot brake pedals to hand levers.
One lever for each rear wheel brake.
Worked great.

Small world, the guy tuning it, Travis, is a friend of mine. His bugeye Subaru that he drives at GTA events is pretty awesome. Up over 600awhp.

I've only done virtual dyno. the power curve spiked just before redline.

Here is what i want to do but dont have a welder. leave the vics chamber in place. Cut the top cover just above the runners and make the top runners shorter.
