My buddy texts me on saturday morning after work (works nights): "My car won't start, I parked it, I'll try and get a log later"
Next day his laptop wont connect, so we bring his megasquirt to my house and bench test it. Turns out his computer had the wrong connection settings.
Grab the trailer and truck and go to pick it up.
It cranks just fine, but sounds reaaaally weird. No compression, timing sounded way off.
Put it on the trailer take it to my place.
Unload it, do a leakdown test. over 80% on all cylinders. wtf.
Pull the valve cover....


That might do it. (Second picture is with cyl 1 at TDC)
