I like to be as descriptive as possible in my AutoCAD drawing notes.

I hated that show so very much when it was in original syndication, and I despise it even more today.

I'm a little pissed right now.

Gillette discontinued the Excel-series razor handle many years ago, although I have pretty much a lifetime supply of blades.

I decided to buy an additional handle, as they're getting hard to find, and I don't want to ever be without one.

Found a listing on eBay from a seller with a highly positive rating. This was the listing photo:

That's the original. Well, not the original original, but pretty much identical aside from the color of the rubber inlay. Cylindrical, all-metal shaft, with holder. That's the one I own. The one I cherish. The one I pack in my bag every time I fly. Which is kind of the whole point of buying a second one.

This is what I received:

What the **** is this curvy plastic bullshit?

Not even sure if it's worth my time to request a refund on a $13 purchase... It's probably not. But I'm annoyed.

For some reason the vibrating shaver (they aren't razors) handles really work well. I figured a pulsing blade against my throat would be a bad idea, but gave it a shot anyway. That **** seriously makes even dull blades cut well without burn. It's the magic of science, or the science of magic; I can't tell which.

The problem I have is that while the 4/5/6 blade units that seem to be all the rage these days are fine for quickly clearing large areas, they are difficult (bordering on impossible) to use for fine-detail work on the mustache, eyebrows, etc. The cartridge is just too damned large.

Why are razors getting less good over time? I'm seriously thinking that I may need to just invest in an old school double-edge butterfly safety razor...

There's actually a sizable movement in men's grooming toward the old school mug-brush-safety razor combo.

I'm usually not awake enough to consider using something more dangerous than a shaver, so I'm good for now. Maybe some day.

The cartridges I use actually have a 5/6/7th? blade on the back for trimming. I've gotten good enough to know where the first blade is, that I rarely use it, but it's there.

I use itty bitty scissors on my eyebrows.

I'm not really certain what's going on here. Is this like a fight club for girls that are mad a men?

Just another facet of Portland. Something that helps us get through the 9 months of gray and rain.

I'm 29, i've been using an electric shaver just about all my life.. i dont have a beard other than the flavor saver and a mustache. In the past 3 months i've started using a razor and my beard is finally showing. That is all.
