Wow thats actually pretty good looking for the 2600

Ive seen a few other examples of stuff like that. I cant imagine what kind of trouble it is to reprogram an old cartridge with a new ROM.

Yeah, it was interesting to watch the progression from early titles like Combat and Breakout, which followed the design guide to the letter, to latter stuff like Jungle Hunt and Crystal Castles, when the developers had really started to hone in on how to really maximize the architecture in ways unenvisioned by the original designers.

As for re-programming old carts, folks are actually manufacturing new cartridge PCBs with EEPROMs on them.

And the seventh angel poured forth his bowl into the air, and a voice cried out from heaven, saying it is done.

Control Room 1 is off the air. I turned out the lights just after taking this picture.

Control Room 2 is on and rocking.

Had a more exciting launch than we'd expected. The news director called for a breaking-news cu in around 3:30 (the Youtube shooter thing), and we were like "Well, we're 90% switched over, might as well plan to run it from in here and we'll just bang through the rest of the checklist as quickly as possible", and then we went for two hours longer than scheduled because of the rain-delay on Cubs @ Reds.

I am exhausted beyond my capacity to describe in words. Haven't had a day off in a month, but man, this is a gratifying kind of tired.

Wow. Land of terrible drivers. The Camaro was the worst perp, but you look at the intersection, and two other vehicles are past/into the crosswalk coming from the same direction the Camaro did.

That was like something you'd see on one of those Russian traffic video compilations.

Watching the guy on the scooter at 0:16 just makes me cringe:
