With the new wall-treatment up, Studio 3 is astonishingly dead, from an acoustic standpoint. When they pull up the plywood and expose the rubber floor, it's gonna be downright freaky in here.

And I can't help but think it looks a tad like a holodeck.

We did the same thing in Studio 1 a couple of year ago. Initially, the older mixing engineers hated it, as they were used to the room having a certain natural reverb. The younger guys, with their plugins and whatnot, absolutely love it, as it gives them a pure, clean sound to work with.

Looks like a puzzle level from the Enrichment Center in Portal 2. Have you checked to see if there's a psychotic AI running loose in your computer system yet?

Ha! Yes it does.

Wait a sec... Mayors and Governors all across the US have spent the past three months talking about the need for more testing.

Reminds me of our EMC test chamber. Downright spooky when the door is sealed.

I would find it hard not to walk in and say "Computer, arch." to test that it isn't.

I remember stepping into one of those rooms on a tour of electronics test facility as a kid. All I remember is feeling very claustrophobic and creeped out when I couldn’t hear my own echo. The tech showed us all the cool frequencies that they were receiving with the door open, then the eerie flat line when they closed the door.

There are three in total like that. Here is the second one that is a bit smaller, still pretty roomy:

Our third one is like a phone booth and reminds me a lot of this.

On the opposite side of the spectrum, when I worked on one class of LNG ships with Moss type cargo tanks (big *****), the acoustics were so good that you could lightly brush your hand against your beard stubble at the bottom of the tank and hear it echo.

I think it's clear he never had Eleanor.

Watched the docu-series on the Mandalorian set last night -- mind blowing. They used a gaming engine and real-time display to do everything in camera. The set itself, since it has a full ceiling display and nearly 360° wall of LEDs actually lights the actors itself.

I would love for Fabrau to redo the entire 9 episodes of the SW Saga.

Bolt backed out, melted the metal a little.

Tightened back down and turned it back on "working fine man". It's amazing how little employees can give a ****. But yeah, not hot....
