Can you imagine what kind of wizardry you'd need to make those float bowls work.

Mildly related.

You can possibly stare at this for 20 minutes and still find silly stuff.
But i'll spare you and explain the sillyness with the exhaust. Due to the rules, they can not run a collector on the exhaust manifold. Because it's EFI they need an O2 sensor and running 8 O2s along with all 8 EGT's is just silly and expensive. So they made their own "collector". That's what the small pipe is, and where the O2 sensor is.

is it just me, or is there a whole lot of confidence being placed in this spring, which appears to be securely hooked on a screw?

Single-fault probably wasn't high on the list for this one.

Yeah, don't look too closely it's sketchy lol. I run double springs that are bigger than that on a dang carburetor. Rules state you need 2 return springs. I'm positive his secondary spring is down on the foot pedal. Which doesn't do much if the cable comes unhooked from the pivot ball, which it very often does.

I wonder how many people around the world accidently go over a dam like this where there is no safety.

While I don't have a fully-developed internal monologue on that one just yet, it definitely begins with Wayland Jennings saying "Well, them Duke boys..."

On the topic of boats, has everyone seen Ol' Cleeter pick up jet boat sprint racing in an afternoon? He did the same thing on that truck race series he was invited to, too.

Also, **** you IB, it's a youtube vidja, embed it for me...

WHile this is impressive to watch. It doesn't take a whole lot of talent. I'm still waiting to see him fly a hydro. With his love for aviation and race boats you'd think it would be a no-brainer.

I'd even let him drive mine if he could fit.

He gets tossed on his first win. I'd love to do that.

One of the race teams rescued this little kitty that was alone and hungry hanging around the pits last weekend.

Beware of the insta-cat.
The very best cats that have owned me showed up unexpected.
You're not thinking about getting a cat and then one has you...
I prefer red tabbies like the one above.

The 350's are built here. Big blocks are done down the street; the ones we were gonna do have been put on hold for a few years now it seems. There's so much hydro parts skattered around this place it's silly. It's nice having some decent brainpower here when I need functional recommendations on my basic Jeep engine.

My oldest played in the 350 (the one that caught fire in your picture) back when it was parked here while the Runne's campaigned it. You guys are crazy for racing these.
