It's better when you have a girl who's in on it to answer phone calls and lead them on. We had a little more than 10 guys show up at a Chili's wearing Hawaiian shirts because we told them we had Jimmy Buffet tickets.

At work we have those sticky pads which make the rest of the victims life agonizing. Find snakes and stuff in them all the time. The mice will rip their feet off (maybe bite them off) to get out.

Not arguing for or against (I've had 100+ PCs, never had a Mac) just giving another point of view that I rarely hear. In my former life as an ISP I had to help people get connected to the internet for the first time. I really hated when people brought in a Mac to set up because I didn't have much experience with them (especially in the beginning). For fun I started asking each of them why they had a Mac vs a PC. I would say a good 80% had the same answer - "I'm not giving Bill Gates any more money". I don't know if it was a political thing or not, just sharing the info. I always found it humorous for some reason.

Macs are like Harley Davidsons. Some people value image over quality or substance. Personally, both offend my sensibilities. Why pay more for the same or lower quality just to be like all of the other wannabes? I have no desire to buy a Harley, wear Ed Hardy, get a trendy tattoo, and try to act too cool for school.

I wouldn't own a Miata if I cared much about image.

Some in our group are suckers for the insecurities of fashion, but most are here for the performance per dollar factor of Miatas and the associated mechanical value they provide. We don't tend to get pulled into the illogical marketing hype that preys on the insecurities of men and boys.

Well, some of us don't...

I have a pair of expensive jeans. man they fit and look good and are seriously comfy (stretch in denim is win, i dont care what your homophobic mind is thinking). much better than the Old Navy jeans i had before. but you effing bet I bought them half price with a groupon!

I also have the expensive sunglasses but I'm very responsible with them and like to not go blind from UV getting through. i wear them nearly daily so I am getting a favorable dollars per wear ratio out of them. That is really key for expensive stuff. i would rather have $200 jeans I wear every other day than $20 jeans I wear once a month.

in our basement, we have ikea bookshelves because they were cheap. my work bench is plundered from a vacated office in our building.

i love my Old Navy jeans, but they constantly bleed. My shoes always turn blue. I have been banned form sitting on my couch with them.

Was the girl at the end of this wearing a bow tie? It has to be some kind of ear protection, but it looks like a damn bow tie.

My daily work jeans are Wranglers that are under $15 bucks at Target, but I work out in the dirt around heavy machinery and won't wear expensive clothes out in the field. If I get a glob of machinery grease on a pair of jeans at work they are junk.

I wear more stylish ones when going out somewhere, but I still don't buy top dollar stuff. I am first and foremost concerned with practicality. And, let's face it, I look so good that I could get away with wearing a burlap sack and still be fashionable and sexy.
