The rest of the world hates us because they cannot achieve our greatest and cannot fathom that a system based on liberty and the pursuit to make your own buck worked, and worked well. They'll love us when the progressives continue to ruin the country and make us a shitty good for nothing welfare state like the rest, so the wealthy influent and powerful can continue ruling serfs and profiting on their blood but at the same time preaching it's for their own benefit.
She's lucky she lives in a place where she has the freedom, let alone means/ability, to be the fattest woman in the world. We also have really good psychiatrists.

You seriously think doctors are going to go into massive amounts of debt and waste countless hours of studying, practicing, testing, improving and innovating once the Gov't comes along and tells him what his time and skill is worth? Especially under the guise of the benefit of your fellow man?! Think he isn't in it for the personal gain (however various it may be), no matter what the benefit to society? If that were the case he'd be there reviving Greenpeace activists that come washing up on the shores...

Crap like that is a black eye in terms of what people think of our society for sure.
But a lot of the world doesnt hate us beleive it or not. Now the media in this country generally does and that they have in common with media pretty much everywhere.
At some point you have to ask those who assume the worst about this country at all times (or the best at all times for that matter) what flavor their Koolaid is.
A lot of people in the UK, France, and Germany love this country. My father worked with a Jew who lives in France. As a matter of course he was reluctant to disclose that he was a jew. Anti-Semitism is a real deal there, as opposed to the watered down joking that you have 99.9% of the time in this country. Add to that the fact that you have a very vocal and aggresive Muslim population that wants to enforce Sharia law in some cases/areas, and suddenly the arrogance of the French gets just a bit more amazing, not that it ever made any sense at all.
Ask that Frenchman how much he hates a country where he can spout that he is Jewish to the heavens with no real worries. Ask a German how much he/she hates a country that has about 1/2 the tax rate that they are used to.
This country is a victim of its own success. So we have lazy fat people, and jelous arrogant mis-informed ***** around the world who hate us. People hate the Yankees and the Patriots and the Colts, mostly because they have done so well.
