pls fedex tissues so that I my cry into them and find a new line of work.
honestly I dont care about quad core. my single snapdragon core in my original Droid Incredible is fast enough most of the time except when apps are updating. when they are updating, shit happens on a "you will wait" basis. it sucks *****.
does having the second (third, fourth) core eliminate that issue so that background tasks like app updates and syncing dont bring the UI to a standstill?

S2E4GT user with 100% silent camera, multiple line display edit keyboard, and adjustable volume with phone against ear user here. Oh, and I've got epic battery life, too.

I'll ignore the iPhone comment, it's not exactly helpful. All I'm trying to do is make my current phone more friendly to me, I never said the iPhone was the pinnacle, just that my current phone is on Android and does things in a way I'm not happy with. I'm assuming your phone is on Android too, so what I want is obviously possible.
So don't be an ***.

I love ICS on my 2 year old samsung vibrant. I'm using slim ICS, this rom is available for a bunch of different phones as well, you should look it up. He just came out with a jelly bean version that I'm going to wait another week or two until all the bugs are completely worked out (and hopefully someone figures out how to make GPS work). I warrantied this phone once because it was getting worse battery life than it should even with new batteries, and stock or any modded rom. No idea why, flashed it back to true stock with odin and sent it in.

I'm running FD26 "leaked" version of ICS 4.0.3 from xda. The only thing that doesn't work is Picasa upload built into Android but I grabbed a free application to resolve that issue. Only other real tweak I've made is hacking the ICS Camera.apk to remove the stupid shutter noise because it's effing annoying as sin. Another good resolution is to download "Camera ICS" from the market which is a very good application, however it won't allow you to adjust the ISO of your pictures.
I'll admit, the phone was slightly buggy when I got it but FS26 resolved all my issues. Beware of the brickbug some phones have. You can download "Got Brickbug?" from the market and it'll analyze your hardware for the issue. Mine has the bug, but I manned up and flashed like 20 different ROM's until I found this one.
I'm not trying to be a dick about the iphone comment. That's basically my advice. If you want a limited device that "just works" and any can use, get an iphone. Like to tweak things and maybe eff something up? Don't. It's just really annoying how so many people think the god damn iphone is a "standard" to compare *.mobile device to. I'm lucky enough to support them for my company, enterprise devices they're far from.
