lol, and I thought I was the only one. I actually lost my last job because my boss was getting worried that I was out shining him. Serious. He told me this a few days before I was fired for "arguing with a customer." Said argument was minute and trivial and happened every day it was just an excuse to get rid of me. The following day when I went in to get my things he had already hired a new person (girl from his previous job) who was a total ditz but did her job OK. F'ing ridiculous.

Are you sure its fox news that makes you stupid? I dunno I feel stupid for watching nbc and I typically feel somewhat informed when I watch fox.

 

I stopped reading this thread at post #44 but felt compelled to say that, up to that point, this thread made me feel better about my life. I work with a team of people that are exceptional and - while we don't always agree on every facet - earn and give respect when due.

Exceptionalism is embraced and encouraged and I have extremely mentally stimulating conversations with peers and teammates almost every day.

Also, I learned to either accept or embrace asymmetrical knowledge.
