Not sure what level of profession you are in it or how much income you generate from it, but you would be smart to have some sort of insurance covering potential loss of the ability to do your job. Like specific insurance covering damage to your legs that would result in your inability to perform that job anymore.

I had extreme shoulder pain today, then I had a session of ART today. Tomorrow I plan to military press 160lb without pain...I feel great. You should look into ART rather than get cut on.

You had a sore shoulder. You got a massage. Massages are great for sore muscles. OP isn't talking about a sore muscle.

You don't get "cut" for a meniscus tear. It's 3 tiny holes for the scope and a quick trim job, repair or particle removal. I had 2 stitches in each of 3 holes.

I prefer my massages with happy endings. Suggesting a massage fix an acute tear or the symptoms associated with a tear is pretty ridiculous.

Your comment is typical. The difference is that it's hardly a massage, and the treatment works. I'd prefer a non-invasive treatment than a $20,000 3-hole punch. A few years ago I was ready for $120,000 in surgery to scrape soft-tissue clean with an MRI to back it up. The pain was so severe the doctor thought tissue was torn. Against his suggestion I went to a sports-therapist, he did 3-weeks or ART, and I was back to power-cleaning more weight than you've seen in your life.

Where did he confirm the tear? It's worth a $20 copay or $100 uninsured visit to avoid the surgery.

The above BTW I consider a must read for anyone with any type of musco-skeletal injury. Interestingly the author has found real applications for "alternative" therapies such as accupuncture and trigger point massage.
It's by the doc who does stem cell therapy.
