Well my entire leg is still numb, and I am not looking forward to the pain I will be experiencing tomorrow. I have cathode tube mounted in my hip for direct novacaine injection that I may use tomorrow depending on how much pain I am in.
My PT starts on Monday, and they have already given some exercises I can do at home.

Wow man, that must hurt like a mother to tear that!!
Good luck with your recovery and great to hear you made it through okay.
Had some ingrown toenails removed at 17, my gallbladder removed when I was 22, and wisdom teeth ripped out last spring. The last two fucked me up pretty bad, and I learned that I really really hate Morphine. Terrible **** this is.

This is my fourth day and I'm doing pretty well. I have the machine that slowly moves your leg up and down. I am at 75* right now and am supposed to increase 5* everyday until I am at 120*. I find the machine easier to do then working it out myself. It is slow, steady, and controlled. Trying to do my exercises is the hardest, my leg just doesn't do what I want it to do, and it ******* hurts lol. I slept with the machine on last night no problem, and it feels pretty good today. I get to change out bandages too today, my knee is still like a balloon though.
EDIT: The doc said 60% was tore and the other 40% was like taffy once he got in there. He couldn't believe I played hockey on it like that for a year.
Make sure you have stool softers or laxatives or something, the hydrocodine will block you up bad, and that isn't fun. Crutches suck too. Not driving sucks too.

no pics? damn that must of hurt like a bitch. I got most of my surgeries as a kid. When I was 5 I had a rare case of trigger thumb in my left hand. Had surgery on it, moves freely now, but its starting to give me problems again, tho. But when I was a little bit older, I was (and still am) into freestyle dirt BMX. All I can say is after breaking my arm in two places in a earlier situation, this was a completely different feeling of pain I have encountered as a kid... lets just say my right leg learned the hard way why handle bar caps exists. Handle bar went into my calf by 2 inches or so, had to get emergency surgery to remove the ******.
My other issues include:
-Water in the left knee, which makes PT qualifications a bitch in the AF. Still refuse to give me a waver because I can just wear a brace... *******.
-Had teeth removed
-Cracked jaw from falling off a bunk bed onto the rail below
-physical chips in the bone of my shins from damn aluminum bike pedals spinning around and coming in contact.
-breaking my right thumb by shutting and LOCKING my mom's car door with my thumb in between. That sucked ***.
Got a sharpened tungsten welding rod stabbed into my arm. I still dont know how, and I didnt feel it until I brush up against the shaded curtains.
I am totally screwed when I hit 50 years old.

I got pics I can post of the carnage. I felt pretty good today...good enough to swap in a torsen! lol my dad did most of the work but I helped a fair amount.
I have been pretty spacey today. Kinda lightheaded and wobbly. Almost like permanent buzz. I just want to drive my ******* car with a locking diff. I couldn't even maneuver myself in to the miata today, so it will be a few weeks before I get to drive again, which is gay.

I can drive auto cars tomorow, manual hopefully a week or two. I need to be ready for lemons next month. I'm gonna bring you a tranny (sponder) to MSR next weekend, if you get my bodingtons, that is.

God dammit i am not looking forward to this. The best of luck to a speedy recovery man. Keep us (me) posted on the daily routine and how you feel. I have a rock climbing trip planned for 3 weeks after my surgery. Hope i can still make it.
