ARIZONA GUYS, Need Help
My Sister lives in Chandler outside Phoenix.
She's got a '92 Sunburst, stock except the rollbar (painted to match).
She needs shocks, battery, maybe a tune-up... anybody know a responsible and knowledgeable guy in the area. I'd call and set up an appointment, do all the legwork and make sure she gets what she needs, but I gotta know who to call first. Somebody give me a name!
Thanks,
Sam

I obviously don't have an AZ name for you.
I would say that you get online and make up a shopping list for her. Have all the crap shipped to her house so you know she gets good stuff, for a good price instead of getting screwed. Plugs, NGK wires, maybe a Westco battery if you're into that, some stock shocks or something a little better maybe.
Then hopefully someone can post up a individual that doesn't screw people on labor to install it all

if you bring in your own parts, the local shop is likely to increase their labor rate and not offer warranty on the work, if they even agree to do any work.
shops don't like it when you bring your own parts. it's partly because they didn't get to profit off their sale, and it's partly because they don't have control over the parts' quality.
sometimes the lowest price is not the best value. YMMV

Yah, Yah, I know... but if she needs a regular tune-up, to include timing belt, CAS sensor, water pump... they'll get their money out of parts that way.
After searching m.net, I keep hearing about:
Mike's Place (near the airport)- 602-253-1136.
Anybody with firsthand knowledge... they seem to be the one.
