Assassination by remote car hacking
The Camaro looked like it was in a bad front-end collision.
I was surprised at the minor-ness of the injuries given the car puked the whole engine/tranny.
But yea the Hastings thing is fishy. But no, there's no motive and murder never happens. Having said that, a crash like that seems a pretty complicated way to murder someone.

Complicated? Yes. But it certainly sends a message, especially since he was due to release some article about the gooberment and suspected he was being investigated by the fbi. Just way too many coincedences.

Were it not for the incompetence of Marshal Patrice de Mac-Mahon at the Battle of Sedan, Bazaine would never have so readily surrendered to the Prussian army following the Siege at Metz. Had Paris stood, the Papal States would not have been annexed by Italy in the winter of 1870, and things would have gone VERY differently indeed for the young Mr. Hastings.
If you're going to blame a government for this, blame the Second Imperial French Empire under Emperor Napoleon III.

Use whatever semantics and wordplay you like- it doesn't change the fact that the real culprits in this have been dead for more than a hundred years.
We don't need wild speculation and recrimination, we need The Ghostbusters.
