Default Beer of the Day thread

Umatilla Coffee Barleywine brewed in house at the Brew Hub (one opening soon in St. Louis).
ABV 11.4%
Umatilla is an English Style Barleywine that is named after a haunted cemetery in central Florida. The hints of dried fruit and Currant malt flavors, pair well with the citrus and floral notes from the hops. It’s complexity and depth will certainly scare you away from boring beer. The flavor doesn't stop there. we take the beer one step further, well actually 3 steps further. Umatilla is also infused with 3 different varieties of Coffee (Burundi, Sumatra, and Brazil), along with local Barbados Acerola Cherries, and Madagascar Vanilla, to give this beer a uniquely complex flavor and aroma.
Really rich and complex.

I had some New Belgium Citradelic this weekend. It was exceptional. I like a really floral/ fruity IPA, and that stuff fits the bill nicely.

Also, I was amused by the wax dripping like a scar over the eyes on the neck of the bottle.
I just picked up 4 of these at a local grocery store that had mislabeled the price tags on them. They had them marked at $8.69 each, right next to the non-barrel aged ones (without wax) for $8.99 each. When I pointed it out to the clerk (that was restocking the beers) that the barrel-aged version was usually about twice as much as the regular version, he just said "Well, I guess it's your lucky day then." Figuring who am I to argue with the man, I promptly obliged him.

^Good luck right there.

Tonight I'm trying out a new product. M.I.A. Brewing out of South Florida has contracted with the Brew Hub to brew for them and a few of their beers are now on tap. Tonight I'm trying their "Miami Weiss". It tastes a lot like Paulaner.

Im super lucky in that the corner store 2 blocks from my place usually has pliney.

The sucaba is pretty good. strong boozy nose and slight barley and raisin aromas. very slight bitterness from the hopps. i cant wait to try the second bottle after about a year or so.

looking forward to Parabola since Sonny at 949 said it was his favorite.

Local Harris Teeter has Bells Hopslam sixers for 16.99 each, limit 2. I don't think the word was out, as there were 7 cases.

Tomorrow is my last day at job #2.
As a direct consequence, I will now have 4 full days a week at home to work on projects.
I need a cheaper way to poison myself.
Recommend me something better than Coors light, but less expensive than 2 hearted ale please.

You want the PBR end of the spectrum or the Sam Adams end of it?
