Default Biggest train wrecks in MT.N history

Let's get a collection of all the biggest derailments in mt.n history. I have a long roadtrip this weekend, and it'll give me soemthing to read through while i'm riding.

I'll start: https://www.miataturbo.net/diy-turbo...-max-hp-66091/

tl;dr
"How much power can my injectors make"
"Here's a website that will help you figure it all out"
"So I can make 300?"
"No, look at this massively bolded area, here:"
"OMG WANT TO RACE WANT TO FIGHT THIS IS HOW PEOPLE GET SHOT"

what?

You obviously were not around for the ChuckyZ murder. I am pretty sure we made Jalopnik with that thread.

That was an interesting thread/meetup.
I was so excited to come out and meet him too, was kinda hoping he'd say something about the thread when we met

I knew MT made it onto Jalopnik thanks to Joes $0.50 piston mod routine but was unaware there was a reference to the ChuckyZ debacle.

Got a link?

I think the real kicker to that whole story was when we confirmed months later that he is in jail for murder or standing trial or about to, and his family was parting out his stuff.

Yeah, I looked into that a bit more after hearing about it. I'm somewhat surprised Texas didn't light him up based on what I read. That's some pretty horrible ****. His dad seemed like a solid guy after reading that thread, such a shame for all involved though.

O_o wow.

Interestingly I have actually read a few posts in that thread before, when I was considering ordering begi and was looking into them "being begi".. Didn't get to the second page though, as it was pretty clear it was derailing.

In other news, I ordered my begi-s a couple days ago! Woot.

It might have only been the piston mod that made it there. It has been several years and my mind is sort of hazy.

:-P I still stand that the map question wasn't a bad one.

Some of the others, definitely.

EDIT: Also, I still don't see it posted anywhere that you need to pay to use an avatar--except when you're on the road to actually donate. So unless a noob came here and was immediately like "oh ****, I should give these guys some money", I don't know how they would know. But then, I suppose I'm biased..

What made Joe's quarters-glued-to-pistons thing epic was the fact that he doctored an old magazine article to actually create a historical reference to it. That took it over the top.

I'm glad you liked it- I was quite proud of that one- one of my better trolls. I actually created the whole magazine page from scratch, printed it, crumpled it a bit, then scanned it at low resolution to make it look authentic.

And I'm still pissed at Jalopnik for not merely failing to give me credit, but for actually getting the whole thing completely backwards.

Erat, the saga unfolded on M.net, not here. We just used MT as the staging ground for the attack.
