What about the kid who kept cranking his carbed V8 Miata after it caught on fire? That clip deserves to be here.

Samnavy won the whole internet at post 110 on that one.

Erat, I'll try to dig up a link.

And yeah, that's the video. Good stuff.

Erat, the saga unfolded on M.net, not here. We just used MT as the staging ground for the attack.
To be fair, they only reported it because I suggested it in the comments of the "what's the biggest troll thread" post. I suppose they misread my submission and didn't bother to do any research and just posted some half-assed crap.

Here it is: Building high compression pistons - MX-5 Miata Forum

Braineack's post #41 contained the link to the fake magazine article which I created, though the link seems to be dead now. I'll have to see if I can dig up a copy of the original...

Post #89 is where the hilarity really begins.

Ive read that thread many times and what amazes me is no one at m.net realized how big of a fail it was at first, and instead they were arguing over how much efficiency the compression would ad or something like that.

How about the kid who started his own polishing business in his parents lawnmower shed, then screwed a couple guys out of the parts, THEN got visited by an MT.net member who not only got the parts back, but got gas money out of the kid?

How about REPO4SALE? Dude set the record for quickest simultaneous banning from every Miata forum on the net with his epic asshattery. Brain had to ban him from here twice.

What about the rear-mount turbo guy with the 6x9's mounted in plexiglass zip-tied to the rollbar?

I can't believe HYPER hasn't been mentioned in this thread.

I'd really like to repost the last epic gay bathhouse story that Hustler posted. It got Rick in a pinch over Google advertising. It has been deleted but still exists behind the scenes. The noobs just didn't know what to think when they had that stuff thrown at them.

I don't know if the rules have changed since IB has taken over, but some of the stories were pretty awesome from a "wtf" standpoint.

The video of that kid with the miata fire made its way to our local car club forum a few months back... Every. Single. Action. that he takes has me going O_o.

First of all, why is he trying to turn the car over in the first place? And then there's a giant arcing spark and that doesn't make him think "Hmm, maybe I should check and see if everythings hooked up right? Nah, the camera's rolling, **** it." Then it starts on fire. And he just keeps trying. Then he *blows on it*. O_O. And then he notices the big can of gasoline sitting on the windshield RIGHT NEXT to the fire... but then it starts on fire, and he runs through the flames to get out of the garage--not around the passenger side. Then he sprays it with a garden hose.

It honestly makes me physically anxious to watch. :-\

Mild fail but one of my favorite Hustler post's

Whole wheat dough, everything bagel toppings. I made the bread into garlic bread, with REAL garlic and REAL onions that I sauteed up in fresh butter. The day before, my boss was having a family party so he ordered REAL Italian gourmet meats from Italy, to do it right. He made all the platters ahead of time, but still had leftover meats that he said we could use for our own delight. Real prosciutto, real salami, real provolone cheese that was unprocessed and unpasteurized. Capicola ham, spiced ham. I made a spiced mayonnaise myself, in the store. Roma tomatoes. Romaine lettuce that I delved through to find the perfect pieces. Red onion. I stacked the meat so that it would be fluffy, folding each piece and making sure that it was in line with the bread-horizon. I used a perfectly sharpened bread knife to cut it on a slight diagonal across the hero-bagel-bread. I roasted some red peppers that we had over our grill, and used the true, raw olive oil that he had used for the party for antipasto trays. I used a few olives to make a small tapenade that went into the center of the bread, injected via turkey baster. After I cut it, I wrapped it up and put it into our walk-in refrigerator to marinate for about half an hour. I made a sandwich whose street value was easily over 150 dollars. I made two of these sandwiches. I gave one to my friend Kenny for his birthday. The other one I ate over the course of a day. I ate nothing else that day. I wept. Guys, I don't want this to sound like some bullshit story, but I ******* cried. I ******* cried over this sandwich, and I think about it every few weeks. This was almost four or five years ago.
