Default Bull Sh...run

Anybody else watching this crap?

Just finished watching the latest unwatchable Bullrun. How stupid are these guys? They walk the course for the final challenge. See what's what. Team Evo goes off course after finishing the challenge and totals the car driving straight into a 2 ton concrete block. The Dart team finishes the challenge in good shape. The idiot driving then screws around off camera and ends up rolling the car.

Reality tv makes me want to run with scissors.

I dont like staged racing shows. Too much like a drama. Which is why I dont watch much tv outside of History and National Geographic, which doesnt show much good stuff anymore. I did catch that episode earlier though.

I love it when people bastardize something cool for the sake of a buck.

I just watched that episode tonight. Just like last season...now every car I gave a **** about is gone. Last season was pretty alright. Sometimes their resourcefulness was impressive.

I refuse to temporarily lower my IQ to comprehend such asshattery.

There is no such thing as a well-produced US television show about racing and/or cars. Though there are a few muscle car oriendted shows that are OK, but when anyone attempts something involving anything "new", it always ends in fail.

Now that Sport Compact Car mag is gone, i'd like to see a small xrew of people get together and basically do something similar, but on video. Imagine a show that travels to various parts of the country and interviews/test drives well built cars...and hosted by someone who actually has 2 ******* cents of what anything is and can explain modifications to a car and not sound like they're reading it off a whiteboard. ****, if that fucktard on PINKS can get a show....

Eh, Supercars Exposed is about the only car-related show I can watch and not get ill.

I'd rather cruise CR.net for IRTB threads.

I'm watching it. I got pretty upset to see the Evo totalled, but what really got me was that even with the ***** out driving they still posted a slower time then the Dart and Avalanche.

I watched both... DVR.
As much as I hate to admit it, I do watch Bullrun. The challenges are a joke. Any rallycross style run on dirt where an Evo gets beat by a Chevy Avalanche and a muscle car is obviously screwed up. Gotta say it was funny seeing them wreck the EVO (what idiots) and the guy in the Mopar makes fun of them just before he rolls his car doing donuts. The way to win on that show is to have a car with a big range gas tank and know how to read a map. That's why a Lexus is in the lead and Porsche and Ferrari are out.

Last night was the first time I'd seen a full episode, and I'm not impressed. It looked like it would be fun to drive the prison break part with some cop cars chasing you, but it would have been better if they were actively trying to PIT maneuver the contestants like cops would do. When a Porsche and Ferrari are out but there's still a VW bus on the show, I'm pretty certain that performance driving doesn't factor much in the outcome, and I lose interest.

And really, what's with the map bullshit? Might as well make them navigate using the heavens and a sextant. Embrace modern technology. Even a broke *** grad student can afford $100 for an adequate GPS.

Speed really has a lot of rubbish on:
1. NOPI. Ricer crap, some go but mostly show. Doesn't say much for your car show when scantily clad skanks are the best part.
2. Pinks. He flinched his arm so I went, no he didn't you left early, I need 8 lengths, whine whine whine. Go dead even from the tree, you lose, you lose. STFU and call a taxi.
3. Super Bikes. Talented riders, but I just cannot sit and watch 30 minutes of stunting.
4. Livin the Low Life. I'd say something sarcastic but I don't want MS13 on my ***.
5. Pimp My Ride. Really?!? Reruns of MTV drivel is the best addition you could think of for your prime time lineup?

If you look at Speed's homepage you'd think they were all about motorsports- ALMS, Grand Am, F1, SCCA, etc.- and they do show that stuff on occasion. But in prime time, when the majority of people who work for a living are home to sit down and watch, the channel is mostly a wasteland. They need to herd the BS shows to daytime. Children and degenerates will still be able to watch them, and it would free up prime time for ALMS, Targa, and other cool stuff that they currently run either at noon on a weekday or at 3 a.m. Make it so watching quality motorsports programming doesn't require a TiVo.

Well I am only guessing, as I have never seen the show. But I am sure they are trying to mimic a rally. And all the rallies I have been on don't even give you a map. You get a list of directions, times, checkpoints, and distances. Sealed in an envelope is your final destination.

On that note I watch Top Gear on the BBC, and late night racing on Speed.

Being able to watch motorsports when convenient for ME, rather than when Speed deems it appropriate, was my primary reason for adding DVR to my Comcrap package. For whatever reason, the crap shows sell ads, most likely because the pool of dumbasses who think they know cars is much larger than the pool of people who are ACTUALLY interested in motorsports. So I'll pay my $12/month for DVR and bitch about it on the internet.

SPEED. What a stupid name for what that channel has become.

Looking at the schedule for this entire week. Car Crazy, Truck U, Chop Cut, Monster Jam, Unique Whips, Pass Time, Supercars, Livin Low, Super Bikes, Hot Import Nights, Wrecked, Pinks, Pinks outakes, Bullrun, Acura LMP1. All are repeated throughout the week. There is one hour of coverage of a hill climb. 12 hours of Nascar coverage on Thursday alone, another 12 throughout the week. 2 hours of Lemans coverage and 3 hours of AMA bikes. Of course there is the requisite 35 hours of infomercials.

Nice lineup and coverage of motorsports for "Speed TV".

Clowns. Don't they realize what a joke they are. Show some racing that turns both directions dammit!

On the flip side, if this is what it takes to keep some road racing broadcasts it's ok with me. They've got three different broadcasts scheduled for Sebring, which is three more than we'd likely see.

Damn, I didn't know the Targa was on. I hope there is more of that on soon. I need to set the dvr for that.

I can watch Pass Time in a pinch. Lord knows there's nothing else on sometimes.

+1 on the Bullrun tards.

The Dart was hardly on it the whole challenge. Plus they all slowed for the gate, except the Evo, which probably should have . It just seems staged that an AWD car lost to 2 RWD cars, one of which was going *****-slow the whole time. And they were each 2 seconds apart?? Maybe if they counted the time the Evo was in the air before it hit the block, it would make sense, but otherwise

There's at least one former SCC editor who works for the Top Gear US website, they make little short films of projects done here in the US. It's decent I guess.

Top Gear Official Site - The World's Greatest Car TV Show - Top Gear

Project Sipster is the U.S. project.
