Bullet V8

I like that 3 of the used cars for sale on the website are 4 speed automatics. Kinda telling who those must appeal to. Pricing wise FM would run you about $32,000 + your car for turn key. That wouldn't include the custom body, suspension, brakes, etc. Sure they are high in more way that one but it's not completely out of line with what FM or Monster Miata would charge for all that work.

Until you have actually heard one while standing NEXT to it, and watched it roar off in cloud of tyre somke you can't dis them. Yeah - sure - we can turbo charge a standard MX5, but the Bullet (not being made anymore due to all sorts of inhouse issues and business takeover stuff) was much more than a backyard buildup in a MX5 skin.
The high price unfortunately reflected the MASSIVE cost of meeting Australian Design Rules (ADRs) for a small custom build car make in Australia. These might look like an MX5, but that resemblence is body and interior only. The rest is all custom tube frame and engineering. The lexus was chosen due to it's smoothness and balance - there is footage somewhere of the engine revving with an Aus $0.50 coin (Google it - they're 12 sided around their edge) balanced on its edge atop the rocker cover.
By the way - the white (with blue striped) MX5 is a total ******* weapon - in this vid it appears PRE big mods - in the end it was basically a race car - known as Gurglr - I'm sure there are youtube vids of it somewhere, and it is well known on the Australian AUS-CARTALK MX5 forum. By the way - a 'hot summer day' day (causing boost issues) in this case is around 35-36 deg celcius air temp (50 + track temp), with about 60 percent relative humidity. Trust me - that ain't comfy.
And yes - I live in the part of Aus where these were designed and built, and know the original designer/developer through the MX5 crowd here.

3-4 MPH extra in the 1/4 is all I have to know. Still not impressed with the SC V8. The rest you can fudge, but that number is pretty well determined by HP unless the people driving are terrible and they don't seem to be.
I guess those are Aussie $$ so that might make it a little better for comparison to FM or whoever. But I guess I'm not in the target market anyway. I'm one of those guys that has heard enough V-8's that I don't get any thrills up my leg. V-12 and up, and straight 6's I like. 4-cyls almost always sound low RPM in comparison.
