I assume you are getting that for the girl you were with at the dyno day. Cuz lets face it, only chicks drive those cars. I doubt even a gay man would be caught dead in one. So if you buy it and ever end up splitting, you can at least rest easy knowing that every time those coils blow she would have to pay like $300 from the dealer.

Do they all do that?

I could use a LOST Hatch "enter the code every 108 min" type of car for my wife.

I know they suck but for the price I can't get away from them. I don't know what to buy. I need a pretty decent car for real state for only 3-4k. I have a 2005 Acura mdx but my wife drives that, I was thinking about Saab 9-5, BMW 540i, passat

I didn't buy it I got outbid (state auction) what should I buy? With 3-4k I can only buy a piece of **** civic or accord. I need a car that I won't look like a homeless person when I go show off a house or meet with clients

Honestly...when we were looking I didn't like the realtors that had baller cars.

Accord is acceptable...and about as neutral as you can get.

Old LS400. I love those cars and they can be had for pretty cheap. Bulletproof but pray you don't ever have to change the starter.

This is true and I feel the same way but the snotty people in the area I wanna work at they want ballers. I wish CT was more layed back but it's not unless your up north more further from New York.

I call bs. I am not the cheapest guy on the forum, but I've got a reputation amongst my friends as being a cheap bastard.

There are PLENTY of nice, straight, reliable cars out there for $3-4k, but you might be looking at the wrong cars.

LS400, SC300/400, GS300, ES300, Avalon, Camry --- good runners can all be found in that price range. Don't buy from dealers because you will always pay $1-2k too much. Scour Craigslist and look at everything that seems to be close. Prepare to do little maintenance crap/cleaning that the last person neglected at the end. Broken door handles and trim are easy to fix and give you pricing leverage. By owner only - they have much weaker negotiating skills and aren't actually looking to make a profit.

Some of these are well maintained little old lady cars and some of them belong to chumps and punks. I can tell from the pics which ones are which. Look them over carefully and take home a winner.
