Pfft... Abroad sure as hell doesn't include Germany. Cell phones are crazy expensive over here. I have a feeling this will only drive prices for the phones themselves up since now they'll work for any network easier.
Alright, some good news.
Interesting.
Finally, people are now free to circumvent protection measures on video games — but, strangely, only to investigate and correct security flaws in those games. (Another oddity: Other computer software is not part of this ruling, just video games.)
Jailbreaking may be legal now, but that doesn't mean Apple can't void your warranty. It also means that because it is now legal, the people creating the jailbreaks can start charging you to use their software.

"Ronnie, what security flaw were you investigating?"
"The security flaw that allows a user to replace a file and play the game without the CD, of course."

i have had 5 jailbreak phones replaced in a apple store and people have been charger for jailbreak apps for years. the hack app store is set up the same as the apple store. some are free, some are .99 some are 4.99. as for charging for the jailbreak it's self, you do the work you can get payed but most people that write unlock software are doing for the grater good.
