Don't you think the power section of mnet has been much calmer place since there are no more ramblings/adds about injectiors being intercoolers and stacked walls of piggybacks under the dash?

IMO, the PC-Pro as a single fuel controller for something like $200-$300 should be fine for people with 150-160 hp Miata applications. (Just like some are still running the old power card). But when talks start about stacking 3 piggybacks (plus the 3 extra connector harnesses) for over $1000 which a single box can do for cheaper ...

LOL. Spooky ... I just typed similar thing at the same time

We agree. Different tools for different jobs.
If I need to turn a philips head screw, I use a philips head screwdriver. Others will use 3 dental picks togehter.

Weren't you running a timing controller, and bigger pulley, and non stock size injectors, and non stock engine internals, and water injection? That is soooo CARB legal already that a CARB legal MS would've so fixed those for you ...

:shakes head: Why don't you get it Pat? I'm not telling you to get a MS. There are tons of options out there. A ******* emanage blue for $350 would be 10x better than 3 powercards, and would still pass obdII.

Ya know Ben, since you are the only one not resorting to name calling I'll deal with you. I do "get it". My PC's came with my CARB legal kit. Tell you what, next time I go to the dyno, and I will soon, I'll post my fuel curve and you can show me where it needs improvement. So far I have had zero problems with reliability and the adjustments are very easy. Let's not get hung up on numbers here. The entire 3-card package is not much larger than a deck of cards. It for sure takes up less area than a MS. Now that means nothing to me, but since others here seem to think it does matter I thought I'd mention it.

Socal Pat,

Btw how did you do the programming of your PC-Pro and timing card for all the extra mods?

I thought FFS weren't supposed to sell or give those unlocked to people in the CARB state? Because adjustments aren't allowed.

Or is your car off road vehicle only - cause I don't remember seeing it at SoCali track events or autocrosses?

That would be great. Hard data is king.

That being said, there are still issues of not allowing for larger injectors, uneven fuel distribution, and poor timing control. Those issues are already beaten to death elsewhere, so no need to address them now.

I'm very glad that your solution is working for you.

Ben

Hey Jman, always good to hear from you! I adjust fuel with the 5th inj. PC-pro. The main one is indeed non adjustable. I don't autox or track. But maybe I'll be lucky enough to run into you sometime.

Pat i don't appreciate your tone on FFS. You could have just run stock ecu, like me and redesigned your fuel system for a fpr, and gotten the same effect. With all that being said for the what 500 something dollars you have in PC pros why not go link for 700$ it will be equaly hidden, and then you would be able to trully use the blower to it capabilities.

Magna, as for the tone. What do you truly expect when you are asking for results on the 1.6 on a regular basis then post here with a snickering smiley? Does that looks like a person who is genuine in his interest? As for the Link, there is a coldside with Link and 550's out there and he's not getting anymore power than I am. Besides I'm happy at my 200-205whp.

Megasquirt wired in parallel is OBDII legal. Just as much as a powercard is. The fact that it can be done cheaper, control everything better, run EBC, Launch, knock, and your toaster is just a bonus.

I ran a voodoo box for a while, it was great with the stock injectors and around 7 psi. Very simple and easy to tune. I wouldn't mind using a single PC-PRO, the buttons seem like they would be easy to use and the pretty flashing lights make it fun for everyone

I am sorry for trying to encourage Dan/Tom and show them that i am interested in the results. That forum is pretty dead sometimes someone has to post there or people will lose interest. There is nothing i hate more than logging into a forum and there being no new posts in the last week but what i post.

Becouse they are still miatas, and even if Tom gets buthurt on you guys and badmouths MS his customers don't deserve to be shunned. And if i can do anything to help them then that will be the right thing to do.
