An overwhelming majority of the public doesn't know anything about HVAC systems at all, other than they make the car cool. Some of them seem not to understand basic heat exchange - like every time I've gotten into someone else's burning hot car on a summer day and they leave the windows up and crank the AC, waiting in agony for it to get to work cooling the car. Why not leave the windows down until some of the edge's been taken off?
