I don't (can't) normally watch soccer, but Spain absolutely crushed Germany today. With one teenage son visiting friends in Valencia, and another twenty something year old son passing through Seville on his way to Pamplona to chase some insanely angry bulls around, any remembrance of the advice I gave them not to get stupid shitfaced drunk while in Spain is well on it's way to being drowned in the tsunamis of alcohol being splashed around the country like the Mississippi over the levees in the mid-West.

Honestly,
I still think the Netherlands games were the most interesting to watch. I love their play styles.
But in all honesty I expected Spain to live. And Thucydides your sons are going to completely trashed. Especially the one in Pamplona, I did the running of the bulls last year and it was ridiculous.

BTW, I was in the "San Fermines" many years ago (and no, I did not run with the bulls I only saw it from a safe distance). Please let your son know that he has to take extra precautions. At least he has until the 7th of next month to get over tonight's party!
naarleven, you got some ***** man to run in front of the bulls!

Well, this will be my oldest son's second time running with the bulls; his first time was after his junior year of high school. He had me send his San Fermin uniform to him before he left; you know, the white one with the red sash so the bulls can find you easier. He said the streets fill with broken bottles, ****, and vomit every night, and the street sweepers hose and clean it down every morning in preparation for the next day's running; sounds like fun! My younger son will go there with him and I've no doubt he'll have to run as well. It's just one of those things a parent really has little control over; especially from 10,000 km away.
