The gen 3 and 4 small block motors are truly impressive. The engines produce gobs of power with very little done to them. While ford went to the modular motors, chevy stuck with the pushrod design and the motor got smaller, while the modular got physically bigger. I never understood that logic of the motors displacing less and the motors being physically bigger.
