Wow that didn't last long at all! I was away from the computer for 5 minutes and BOOM, ****** locked.
I've been a member over there for a long *** time, probably when there was only 50 or so members. Its funny though, cause in that time, I've only managed to make 29 posts. I knew there were reasons why I didn't hang out much there. Maybe its all the scum they keep around that has me turned off.
I like it much better around these parts.

Not really. we don't need, nor do I advocate, to **** with CR.net. Going over there and doing your thing in your own name is fine, as you can see I do the same, but we don't need to start forum wars 2.0 again. Neo dealt with Tim in a respectable manner and brought forth a rational "de-modding" of Noah and a group discussion on how they will further proceed.

FYI residents and mods:
Public talk like "hay guz lets do a DDOS!1!!`1!" and then a DDOS happening could have serious outcomes for the posters and the owners of thiboard.
I think that CR bs is hoggy-poo too, but conversations like these can be subpoenaed.

That's the way it should be. Props to Tim for being a stand up admin on the subject. Not sure what lead him to give the mod privileges in the first place, but I'm glad they were taken away.

No the way it shouldve been is that ******* shouldve been banned when he screwed me back in 07. No props at all to Tim at all for allowing noah to be a mod let alone still a member. If no one wouldve said anything, that pos would still be a mod. What the hell is ddos?
i.e. Someone leaves FTP exposed to the public with unlimited login attempts. *I* would then write a script to open as many possible TCP connections to that port as possible and attempt login until the server buckles under the load.

Its pretty awesome when you look at it from an execution standpoint. You can literally make a machine bluescreen, if its windows server or wtfever you call it for linux, from the pure amount of simultaneous requests. And it doesn't just stop there. They continue and continue literally shutting the site down. I don't condone it at all, but I definitely think its pretty amazing from a technical perspective.
