1988 Mazda 323 GTX - final price drop

When did cut paste become so difficult?

***FINAL PRICE DROP***

I have a 1988 Mazda GTX for sale. There's a ton of upgrades done to this car that was very thought out and done professionally. Car is very straight and clean. It does have some appearance issues but considering it's age it look amazing. I have an excel file with prices of some of the upgrades as well as a list of things about the car the previous owner gave with the car. I also have the workshop manual for the car and that is very hard to find. Along with the car I have the motor that came out of the car, a spare transmission (hard to find), stock wheels with winter tires, misc parts, and a Mercury I mark front bumper (direct fit, looks cooler, but it's red and not installed). New windshield.

Only issues with the car are the ignition is sticky (sometimes just clicks a few times and other times works perfect), the gas level gauge doesn't work (very common problem with these older Mazdas, in the process of fixing it right now) and theres some rust on the quarter panels on the wheel lip and a very little on the sunroof.

I'm asking $5,000 for the car. They are hard to find (only 1240 imported) and even harder to find a clean, straight, upgraded one with extras. I am negotiable but within reason. Feel free to ask questions or more pictures. Onto the upgrades.

Chassis has 230,xxx miles on it.

Engine:
Refreshed 1.6L Engine, unknown mileage
ARP studs in the engine
Bigger injectors to handle the extra boost

GT25R60 ball bearing Turbo w/ internal waste gate (set at 12psi)
MS2 v3.0 running MS2-extra, full independently controlled fuel and spark.
Innovate Motorsports LC1 wideband
Custom ceramic coated and wrapped exhaust manifold
Custom turbo down-pipe with divorced waste gate tube
2.5" stainless exhaust with Magnaflow resonator and muffler
Ford probe intercooler
Magnecore 10mm plug wires
1.6L Miata CAS
034 EFI ignition module
Greddy blow off valve
PWM boost control solenoid
JDM intake manifold

Transmission:
Transmission is in great shape, always well cared for
Fidenza Aluminum flywheel and newer clutch.

Suspension/Brakes:
1992 Mitsubishi Galant 266mm front/rear Brembo rotors
Front calipers 92 Ford Escort GT
Rear calipers 92 Mazda Miata brackets included
Axsis Ultimate brake pads
NEW KYB struts in all 4 corners
Brand new Moog ball joints and sway bar bushings

Wheels/Tires:
Dunlop Direzza DZ102 tires with less than 500 miles on them
OZ Racing 15" wheels

Interior:
Momo steering wheel
LC1 wideband gauge
Boost gauge
Overall condition of the interior is really good. Drivers seat has worn spots in the middle and passenger seat has some discoloration. I'd still give interior a 9/10

there's a bunch of pics in there too, but here's some basics:

Jeez my bad. I figured a link is pretty easy to click on, and if it's been removed then it is no longer relevant.

It's just been an ongoing complaint in this thread, and recently came up again about 40 posts back.

1991 Lotus Elan-Best Offer

1991 Lotus Elan-Best Offer - $5000 (Lake Hughes)

$5000 or Best Offer
Must sell my Lotus Elan m100. I am not able to complete interior and trim improvements that I have started. Great opportunity to own one of the best handling cars ever made, at a fraction of its normal value. Here's the rundown:
THE GOOD:
Strong running, mechanically sound. 1.6L turbocharged dohc 4 cyl. Isuzu engine, 5 speed manual trans. Engine was offered in various HP Isuzu sedans and can be serviced at dealer if needed. This car provides legendary handling, was the first production car in history to hit 1G on the skidpad. Described by enthusiasts as a "cat on roller skates." Even though engine produces only 160 hp the car weighs only 2200 lbs., so performance is exhilarating.
THE BAD:
>Side windows not installed. (I have all replacement seals and molding.)
>Convertible top needs some work.
>Is due for timing belt change. 70,200 miles on odo.
>Interior is kind of rough, split seam on driver's seat.
>There is a rattle in the catalytic converter, likely needs replacement.

In its present state, this is the ultimate fair weather ride, very reliable. With a little effort by someone mechanically inclined, along with a moderate investment, this car could match others in the 8 to 15,000 range. I haven't included many pictures because this vehicle needs to be examined to judge its value and potential. Must sell; no reasonable offer refused.
Would bang for fun. Those engines are very smooth, well balanced, breathe well, and redline at 8000. The little IHI spools quickly but doesn't have much volume for growth.

OK, which one of you guys is selling the Exocet and vvt M-edition?

Exocet race chassis and Miata donor. (Kit)

I'm selling a project I was going to start but ended up getting one of my old cars back and I can't justify two projects. Selling as a package deal for $10,000. I will separate, Miata for $4500 and Exocet for $7500. NO TRADES. Please do not waste my time or yours. I promise you do not have anything that will interest me. I will not part out. The Miata has a clean title and runs good. Serious inquires feel free to text me @ 2five6six0four6one0six

Donor car:
1996 Mazda Miata M Edition
1.8 VVT motor was swapped in. Previous owner spent $1,300 for the engine and installed themselves.
5 speed transmission
OEM Hardtop with defrost (soft top is still in there)
Aftermarket wheels. (I don't know the brand nor care to know)
Coilovers
Brand new tires
Aftermarket radio
Grip Royal steering wheel with NRG quick release
It has a PA system in it that I have not touched
I bought this car because it was clean and had no rust on the sub frame and control arms.

That seems like a really clean body to use as a donor for an exocet.

In the southeastern US, there's not a lot of road salt, and thus, not a lot of rusty cars. It looks pretty average for the age and location, probably been re-painted at some point, as I don't see any sun-fade on the horizontal surfaces.

Ah, that makes sense. I guess I'm just not used to seeing anything that old that nice around here. By the time a car is old enough to repaint, there's not much metal left to paint. Or it's never seen salt, which makes it beautiful and rare.

Driving around Florida / Georgia / Alabama / etc, you see lots of 80s and 90s vintage daily-drivers on the road, with zero rust.

Typically, the plastic parts (bumpers, trim, headlight lenses) start to fade and turn chalky, then the paint on the hood, roof and trunklid starts to do the same and eventually flake off, and interior plastic bits (dashboards especially) will turn brittle and crack. But you see extremely little rusting of the chassis and lower body, as is typical in the northern states.

+1

I only use Craigslist when there is no other option. I have given away some low to moderate value leftovers to friends to avoid ebay/CL. Dreading selling my truck..

Oh and stop posting clean 323 GTX's dammit. I miss mine and can not resist this pressure.
