I'll say it's "missing some stuff" for $7000

Like a 99 miata.

Ebay
to begin with this use to be a 99 miata . it was built with the intentions to be a bad *** street legal ariel atom look alike with a clean title and perform for road course and drift sessions. i have over 7k invested in this project already. this will be a bad *** build, should be around 230whp and weighs 1200 pounds right now without the body cage completed. i have rebuilt the whole motor, has lsd, everything has an fittings all around, its on 9 pounds of boost, wire tucked. wiring is done and have all the lighting. i have some unique nice looking headlights and tail lights and a huge led light bar for the top of the car. and alot more parts. once you drive this thing u will buy it. yes its driving and boosting. all you have to do is complete the body cage and finish installing the lights that comes with the car.

THIS IS A PROJECT FOR MECHANICALLY INCLINED PERSON WITH A WELDER
the most expensive and hard parts are done. all you need to do is weld the cage together, put the lighting system together witch I already have and your good to drive on the streets. I also have a small battery kit not installed yet in the photos, I was planning to install ither behind the seat or under the dash.
YES THE CAR IS DRIVABLE RIGHT NOW FOR YOU CAN TEST DRIVE IT.
ALL THE PARTS ARE BRAND NEW NOT EVEN 15 MILES
* miata has a clean title so its street legal once all the lighting is complete.
*lsd limited slip differential
*Manual 5 speed
*brand new competion clutch
*oil change and transmission flush performed also the diff
* fully adjustable coil overs and damping
*front camber adjustable tubular control arms to slam it and fix camber
*all new brakes and rotors all around
*manual rack and pinion
*new tie rods and bushing all around
*fully rebuilt motor
*aluminum radiator with AN fittings -20 radiator hoses
*oil catch can with AN fitting -10
*intercooler with custom welder piping
*intake manifold was ported and polished, removed the secondary butterflies and shaved all of the outside
*adjustable crank degree wheel to retard or advance the timing for boost
*garret turbo from a sr20, rebuilt with mike turbo
*has a voodoo box 2 controller. its basically a piggy back to control the injectors for boost. perfect for 250whp which is all this project needs. right now it spins all of second and half of third. needs drag radials.
*brand new sets of nrg bucket seats with custom made plates to attach to the factory seat rails and be able to slide back and forward
* nrg steering wheel and hub adapter
*led headlights and tail lights
*led bar
*aluminum radiator resivor
i am sure I'm missing more stuff!
i am a master tech at Chevrolet so all the work has been done by me and my buddy.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is that doohickey mounted to the front of the intercooler? Blow off?

And why would you mount it there?

It is the BOV. That was probably the easiest place for them to mount it. Actually location does not really matter. I have seen Corky Bell fit it in similar locations on car's that don't have space elsewhere.

I like that BOV location. It snubs both those who say should be before the I/C and those who say it should be after the I/C; by mounting it ON the I/C.

I have put BOV before and after IC with zero differences in operation. EFR's have it built into the turbo. So at the end of the day wherever you can fit it should work.

Theoretically having the BOV closer to the throttle body means you have more air in the pipes before it closes and theoretically faster boost response. Theoretically.

Default 2003 Club Sport

We found a white 114k, original owner, straight 2003 Club Sport with matching hard top on CL San Diego a few months back. The seller didn't include contact info. I used the embedded google map and google earth images to find a satellite pic of a white Miata parked on the street in front of a house.
Found the house on Zillow, got the names on the property title, googles the name and after many hours and dead ends, found the owner on Strava (online fitness tracking site). PM'd through Strava to buy the car. When we picked the white one up, we saw this identical red MCS (Miata Club Sport) with the next plate number in sequence parked next to the white one. Obviously bought and registered at the same time, his and hers Miatae. We made an offer for this red one, owner declined but said they might be wiling to sell in a few months. So we patiently pinged them occasionally for the next few months, keeping a secret of the fact that there was a twin to our white car that might be for sale. Got a text message last week, ready to sell. As before, we dropped what we were doing and blazed down to San Diego, about an hours drive south from our shop. Dan bought this red one. So now we have two identical, all original, straight one owner MCS in the 949 Racing family. Not stating the price but I can say that they were both ah, well below market value . Like my white one, the paint is hammered from neglect, but the body and chassis are straight. Interior dirty basically in perfect shape.

No plans for it other than a daily. 15x9 Tungsten, Tecnas when they're ready and that's about it.
