My daily driver pile of shit. 02 5 speed LSD. Bought from the original owner about 3 years back with the window sticker and a binder full of everything ever done to the car. Hands down the best daily driver I've owned. |

It's a wonderfully fun car, but I was unsure of the longevity, so we decided to lease. Due to that, I probably will keep it stock, so they don't deny me when it breaks under warranty.

I picked up this 2004 Lexus GX470 in May for 8k with 110k on it. This is my second one, really nice rides. Swapped out the air suspension for a Dobinson lift. These are basically a fully loaded V8 4runner, with a larger front ring gear and 3rd row, seats 8.

^Did the Lexus get the 5spd before the 4Runner did?
I had an '07 4Runner Limited that had every option but the rear air suspension, I miss that truck. |
All Gen4 V8 Runners have the 5spd, as do all GX470s.

So I have a debate going on in my head, that I was hoping to get some other opinions on.
Current daily is a 2007 Honda Fit. A little small, but we make it work even with three car seats. I'm wanting to start towing to track events, and have been looking at GMT800 Suburbans (primarily the 3/4 tons). While I can afford to have both vehicles, I'm wondering if it might not be a better idea to sell the Fit should I end up getting the 'burb. I only drive about 6,000 miles a year so the proceeds from selling the Fit should cover a little over 4 years of the additional gas costs, probably a little more since I might start driving the Miata more. Biggest downside is I work downtown and parking would not be fun, but I can deal with that. |
Sounds good

I thought the early V8 non-VVTi engines had the 4 speed transmission.
https://www.top4runners.com/runhist/runhist42005.html Tundra/Sequoia/Land Cruiser were the only 2uz things to ever get the A340 to the best of my knowledge. |

Just picked up this bad boy over the weekend. 15 TDI Golf Sportwagen with a 6 speed manual. Had 17k miles on it (almost 19k now).
Attachment 230047 Stats from my trip, bought it in Chicago-flew up Friday night after work and drove it back to South Florida this weekend. Attachment 230048 For me, I can't find a more practical vehicle out there. Insane fuel mileage, fun to drive, more cargo space than most CUV's out now, and plenty of room for the dog and the baby coming in February. |

Awesome little car, especially the rare 2015. Congrats, jelly.
