Default Datalogging + Cat

So I'm driving this afternoon doing a datalog session and I come down this hill. All of a sudden I hear this sound like my universal snapped and my driveshaft hit the underside of the car, and then it stopped. I'm like, "wtf was that?" I look in the rear view and see this cat doing a barrel roll. I kinda felt bad cause I hit that thing, but F*ck it. Why the hell do animals always stand there and wait till a car comes, and then they decide to cross?

Depends on whether or not the datalog shows that he lifts. If he kept on going at full manifold pressure I vote for a permaban.

Btw....I thought the whole point of datalogging was tuning while keeping your eyes on the road. Cats are pretty damn quick...and more intelligent than squirrels. They're usually trying to get OUT of the way...and so far I've never hit one...even when I was trying!

It also depends on if the cat was going WOT or not. Cat might have been datalogging too and you were in HIS way

OK, happy story. One night on my way home from somewhere, I crossed paths with a cat. Apparently the car in front of my hit it and crushed it back half, and when I got to it, it was just making its way off the other side of the road with rear end in drag mode... I always tell that to get back at people when I have no good comeback to a statement. Always upsets them. It made me depressed for the rest of the night. Poor cat. If it hadn't been in a populated area and it wasn't in the deep grass I would have pulled up, rolled down the window and finished it off to save it the suffering.

Datacat 2.0. He had been having traction issues on tile floors and he wanted to adjust his launch rpm and boost. Someone should also check to be sure it wasn't under the influence of cat nip. That **** really affects your ability to drive safely. The cat may have been fully at fault.

Happy story:

At my internship this last summer I was "supervising" a move of a dozen sea containers around our plant. The guy on the big lift picked one up and a few kittens came running out from under it. He didn't quite have it in the center of gravity and was going to put it back down and scooch over a bit. The last kitten was too scared to run straight out and was hanging out right at the far edge of the container lip. I go running towards the cab as he starts setting it down, but he wasn't paying attention (bad) and couldn't hear me yelling over the 40,000lb lift.

Poor kitty got crushed.

The worst part was taking my daughter to the mall that weekend. She's two...and loves the pet store. We always stop by. She loves the kitties...and stood there for about ten minutes meowing at them through the glass that day. It just about killed me.

We went back the next weekend and bought her a puppy.

:(

I don't tend to stare at my laptop when I'm datalogging....I think that's the point.

I'm officially not supplying your pizza at the dyno day now.

You should have at least gone back to see if it was dead, and if not, if you could have helped it.

1) I didn't purposely hit it, it ran under the middle of my car. The front tires missed it and the back ones didn't.
2) It didn't suffer, cause it died instantaneous on impact.
3) It also wasn't someone's beloved pet, it was some ***** eyed, runny nosed farm cat. For that reason, it probably wanted to end it's own life and that's why it ran under my car.
