Yes. Do you want one that is already in pieces that needs a new compressor wheel? It has the LGT style compressor cover with a snapped off bolt in it. $10 + shipping. Getting the turbine housing off required torch + hammer.

Just asking, not really in need of one at the moment. I don't need to start hoarding Subaru parts like I already do with Miata parts.
If I was to do anything I'd work on optimizing what I already have. Something like ported factory manifolds, eliminate TGVs, sti up-pipe (no cat) and maybe downpipe and exhaust. That and a tune should show respectable gains. The "little" EJ20x in my WRX is never going to be a powerhouse, and honestly its fun as hell already. The last thing I want to do is ruin the reliability, simplicity and "fun" I already have, that's why I also have the Miata. If my turbo goes out, either rebuild mine/another stock TD04 or if I was going to actually spend money, Blouch TD05H-16GXT would be a the top of the list. Of course the OEM twin scroll stuff looks cool, but its not cheap either so

After I get the car maybe
dude I know. when I got home and looked at the first picture I was like ******* **** *****.
I can probably PS it back out.
The price of some of those TMICs are insane. The Grimmspeed one does look nice with the splitter thingy, but you're almost at $1000.
The STi TMIC doesn't look this it will be an easy fit on a regular WRX. N/M looks like you don't have a regular 08+ WRX. Seems like you'd need the STi IM as to upgrade to that on a 08+ WRX.

Now it don't leak, won't leak, and doesn't heatsoak even at extended idle.
So it turns out its an 05 XS.
And here's a better descripition of the issues.
So likely just swap the motor.
Do the transmission symptoms sound like center diff or maybe just a bad CV joint?

The engine doesn't run. I think {PO's duaghters name} drove it with very little oil at one point which did permanent damage. I also think the transmission may need some attention. The symptom was that when driving with the steering at full lock there would be a clunking noise. This is a result of a problem with the back to front differential, because if you disable that (which apparently you can do with some electronic disconnection) the clunking goes away. The dealer said they would need to replace the transmission to fix it. I never had it repaired, but drove the car for several years like that without any worries.
