93LE- I guess what I'm getting at, is I'm getting the most for my insurance investment.
The Miata chassis is a loss, but it runs fine and drives. Just very bent behind the driver's door. Auto insurance paid well on the RX - just picked up the replacement the other day. I'm a true girly car fanatic-- RX330 is an awesome car and nice upgrade from the RX300.

That car made me the hero. I just went to eBay and found a local car, which didn't sell. Called the seller and agreed on price before viewing/driving. It checked out so we bought it. They needed to sell, we needed to buy and didn't have to mess around with all the negotiation at a storefront - and the sales tax.

you should also have your contractor include this in the bid

well, since Your Lovely has a new whip, maybe you should make room in the new garage with something from these people
ACLifts Automotive Parking Lifts - SS
And since I forgot to extend my condolences, I am sorry to hear, and see, about your CARnage....
My friend lost a beautiful oak at the end of his driveway a month ago, due to the severity of the storm, all tree services were elsewhere, so we cut the tree down (it was hung up on other trees) to avoid it coming down in the next storm and taking out his beautiful Cayman S unexpectidly. The great part, the trees that were in the way of his dream garage got blown down. His wife would have NEVER let us cut even one of them to make room. So now we get to build an awesome garage seperate from the house for him to park his toys.... which means his dad will finally give him the Austin Healy 3000 that he bought BRAND NEW..... so its all pretty cool.
My point? He is limited by homeowners association as to how big he can build. 1000sq ft. on 2 acre lot. So I did my research since I will be the one building it. Same aesthetics, roof lines have to match (which is great b/c garage pad is lower elevation...so we can have height for two post), no driveway extensions certain distance, etc.... but we can allow for a "porch", which we can cover...... So as I talked to someone on committee, I can include a greenhouse porch outside the 1000sq ft walls.... it will be a glassed enclosure
So be sure to use this chance to build everything you want and can afford while you are doing so, yet still keeping it historically correct in appearance.

Not the greatest video but there is some burning rubber in there- you can see it in oncoming headlights during 3rd gear accel. Fortunately I had a visitor from the other side of the world with a desire to drive it so I could video (and avoid losing my license).
On a similar note, a very good friend gave me a Miata back in July for the cost of delivery. After having sat for four years with a blown engine and partial body work completed, I have brought it back to life. I dropped in a $200 used 1.6 that got me an emissions Ok, then installed an AC from leftovers I've collected and finally got it painted with a full color change (04 Rav4 color). Still plan to wait for the garage to bring over the FE3 driveline.
